Chocolate Cake
This is a truly decadent and light Chocolate cake for you to Enjoy.
Ingredients
225 grams of Butter
225 grams of good quality dark Chocolate, broken into pieces
50 grams of ground almonds
60 grams of plain flour
6 Eggs
50 grams of light soft brown sugar
175 grams of caster sugar
Icing Sugar, for dusting
Serve with Double Cream
Method
1)Put the butter and chocolate into a heatproof bowl and rest it over barely simmering water. Leave until melted then stir until to smooth and leave to cool slightly.
2) Separate the Eggs and put the Egg whites in one bowl and Egg yolks in another.
3) Add the Brown sugar to the Egg Yolks and whisk into Pale and Creamy. Then sift the Flour and Ground Almonds and the melted Chocolate mixture and mix.
4) In another bowl whisk the egg whites until you get soft peaks then add the caster sugar a little at a time until you have soft meringue. Then Fold egg whites into the cake mixture a little bit at the time.
5) Pour into a prepare cake tin, which is greased and line and cook for 50 minutes at 180 oC.
