Bakewell Cake
Bakewell Cake is an English Cake /Dessert originating from the town of Bakewell in Derbyshire.
Ingredients
150 grams of Butter , softened
150 grams of Golden Caster Sugar
150 Grams of Self Raising Flour
150 Grams of Ground Almonds
2 Large Eggs
1 Tsp of Vanilla Extract
6tsp of Raspberry Jam
150 grams of Fresh Raspberries
50 Grams Flaked Almonds.
Method
1)Prepare your springform cake tin with Parchment Paper
2)Whisk your flour butter , ground almonds ,eggs and vanilla extract together.
3)Place half of this cake mixture at the bottom of the lined cake tin and smooth over.
4)Then dot the jam half teaspoon at a time everywhere and scatter the Fresh Raspberries
5)Then Cover the fresh Fruit with the remainder of the cake Mixture and spread over using your fingers if necessary.
6)Scatter the Flaked Almonds on the top
7)Bake in an oven at 160 oC for 1 hr 10 mins and Enjoy
